Ana Paula G. Mumy , SLPD, CCC-SLP

Ana Paula G. Mumy, SLPD, CCC-SLP, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech-Language-Hearing and the Director of LAP. Ana Paula received her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Texas at Dallas and her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. Originally from Brazil, she speaks Portuguese and Spanish fluently and has extensive experience working with English Language Learners (ELLs). Ana Paula has authored numerous articles and intervention materials/guides, particularly for multicultural populations. Her specialized interests include articulation disorders, early language and literacy, bilingualism, and stuttering. Ana Paula holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She has a wide range of clinical experience in public and private schools, private practice, pediatric home health, and providing teleservices. She joined the clinical faculty in the SPLH Department at KU in 2016.
